Breathe
I write for the exhale. When I let my feelings express themselves in words, I feel a sense of relief. Writing poetry is something that I feel is done through me, rather than something I “produce”. I never just sit down to write, it simply happens as an overflow of emotions. When you pick up one of my books, the words within are imbued with the emotions present when I wrote them. Each book has its own theme, and they are grouped by that theme. Sea of Glass: Prayer as Poetry was written as a result of my prayer life. A Melancholy, Whirlwind Romance: Movement as Poetry was written from a place of my conscious movement through life. And A Long-Forgotten Ache: Heartsong as Poetry was written in a season of romance and heartache. No matter which book you happen to read, I hope that you resonate with my words and find in them the love and strength of a fellow traveler.
